How can I stop you?
Doing what you do best.
Can I shout at you?
Even when I know it’s bad.
Hiding, running and avoiding.
That’s all I know you do.
Can I scream at you?
For hurting me is all you do.
Shouting, yelling and crying
Myself to sleep at night.
What can I do now?
To make myself feel right.
If you follow me to the sea,
Alone in the cold icy night
That is when you’ll start to notice
The despair in my cheerful eyes.
