look at the footprints in the sand

you walked with me,

footprints in the sand,

and help me understand where I am going.

 

you walked with me, when I was all alone.

where so much I learn along the way,

then I heard you say:

 

"I promise you I'm always there,

when your heart is filled with sorrow and despair.

I carry you when you need a friend,

you'll find my foot prints in the sand."

 

I see my life,

flash across the sky,

so many times have I been so afraid.

 

and just when I have though I've lost my way,

you gave me strength to carry on,

that's when I hear you say:

 

"I promise you I'm always there,

when your heart is filled with sorrow and despair.

I carry you when you need a friend,

you'll find my foot prints in the sand."

 

you eyes are wet,

as melancholy fills the air,

you are you are all alone with no where to go.

 

I walked with you, now that you need someone,

to guide you to the path where you belong,

that's where you hear me say:

 

"I promise you I'm always there,

when your heart is filled with sorrow and despair.

I carry you when you need a friend,

you'll find my foot prints in the sand."
